The BK International Cup

January 22nd - 28th @ Southern Districts Basketball Association

The Brian Kerle International Cup is founded on the belief that basketball has the power to unite people

beyond borders, languages, and backgrounds by speaking the universal language of basketball. The

international tournament exists to give young people an opportunity to compete on the world stage,

whilst honouring the legacy of Brian Kerle, a pioneer and advocate for player development, respect,

and the positive influence of sport. The event aims to bring together teams from across the world to

celebrate basketball, friendship, and culture.

This year we will be welcoming teams from Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, New Zealand, and Thursday Island to play in the under 19s competition. We are excited to host Australia's first international basketball competition and hope that this opens pathways for young athletes to compete, learn, and develop at the highest level.
