Good News Story: A Celebration Of Culture.

Siale Lolohea is a proud Indigenous Woman who has been part of the BK Family since she started basketball.

She has represented Queensland in the Australian Indigenous Basketball Tournament and plays at a representative level for the Logan Thunder.

Siale competed in the 2023 NAIDOC 3x3 Tournament, where she won the championship and the tournament MVP.

Since the NAIDOC 3x3 Tournament, she has joined our junior basketball club the BK Owls.

BK Basketball sponsored Siale so that she could join us on our Taiwan Tour. In Taiwan she experienced their culture while teaching them some of her own culture as well.

Siale had some outstanding performances in the games in Taiwan and developed as a player and a person.

The NAIDOC 3x3 Tournament allowed Siale to showcase her potential as a basketball player, while making some new friends and celebrating her culture.
