Homeschool Basketball Program Returns Stronger!

A much-loved community initiative is back on the court, with the Brian Kerle Basketball Homeschools Program relaunching in 2026—this time with an even greater reach across Brisbane’s outer suburbs.

Originally introduced in 2023–2024 through Brian Kerle Basketball, the program quickly became a standout success, engaging hundreds of homeschool students and providing a vital outlet for physical activity, social connection, and personal development.

Its impact was felt across families and communities, particularly in areas where access to structured sport can be limited.

CSMC and Brian Kerle Basketball have revitalised the program with an expanded model designed to reach more young people than ever before. While maintaining its high-quality weekly session structure, the program now runs across three locations - Carina, Ipswich and Logan. Offering consistent opportunities for participation in multiple communities.

The shift marks a significant step forward, allowing the program to extend its footprint while staying true to its core mission: using sport as a tool to mentor, support, and empower young people. Each session is led by experienced coaches and focuses on basketball skill development, teamwork, and building confidence in a supportive environment tailored specifically for the students.

What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a powerful platform for youth development, with basketball serving as the bridge between sport and life skills.

Parents have welcomed the program’s return, highlighting the positive impact it has on their children’s physical health, social interaction, and overall wellbeing.

With sessions now active in Carina, Ipswich, and Logan, the relaunch of the Homeschools Program represents more than just a return, it signals continued growth in community sport and a stronger commitment to supporting young people.
